3202 – STR Authorization Request

Please see attached the STR authorization request from the tenant of 3202.

I recommend denying the request as it appears the tenant does not reside in the unit:

  • We recently received an updated Form-K from the owner with the tenant and a subtenant listed. The previous Form-K from 2023 had the tenant and a different set of subtenants. 
  • The tenant has three Airbnb listings (for entire condo and for each room) that indicates the entire unit is available for 30 day minimum rentals. The tenant did not have these listings in her request form.

  • Staff has not witnessed her living there. They have witnessed the subtenant.
  • The tenant previously operated an illegal STR and was issued bylaw letters in 2022.
